On a personal request this past year many Scouts came out, and Helped Staten Island Scouting with a Flag Presentation and Yes this year we are going to once again do it again Please we are looking for Boy Scouts from Staten Island units to help with this years Parade and we will be bigger that last Year. Also please contact Gil or Marty to make arrangements for them to come to your units meeting to give out the cds and patches for last years participants. If you would like to sign-up directly, Please fill out the below form. Please NOTE all participants need to be in full BSA uniform, including long pants and comfortable shoes. Please do not wear any medals or valuables. We do not want them to get lost during the parade. |

Also Pouch Day Camp is underway with many new exciting ideas and programs for summer campers, This will be the ninth season and the Directors have held many meetings developing many new ideas and directions, This will be a great year to continue the steps toward building our first decade of Pouch Day Camp. Now the camp is in need of your help, we need some Merit Badge Counselors for the four new limited time centennial badges this year only and we will do our best to offer these badges as many times as possible. Please help us help the scouts take advantage of this limited program. The camp is also in need of unit service projects if you and your unit are looking for a place we have some small and some not so small projects. Remember our WES is coming up this April, yes we are in need of Adult help, this will insure us that we will be ready for our Spring, Summer and, Fall programs. Thank You to all that supported our fund raisers that the camp has tried to have the past few months. The Annual Fishing Derby is around the corner and our trading post will be well stocked for all your fishing needs. Finally I want to say Thank You to everyone for all you have done and said on behalf of Wm. H. Pouch Scout Camp. Please stay strong this little Camp can and will some how weather through the storms. It is a Big part of so many people both young and old all with the same kind words about how the camp was such a big part of how it changed their lives. Thank You all for your feelings about Pouch! |
