Everyone that was on board I cannot say enough, it was a great sight and an amazing feeling. An impact that
will last for some time to come, hopefully it will get bigger every year. It was a day to be proud to be part of
scouting! As we approach our 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America this was a great start to a
banner year.
To everyone that gave us support especially the flag bearers, the leaders and parents that helped keep the
lines in formation and or pick up the slack, to the side line water crew, to all with the cameras, to the persons
on the phone, to all who helped with the BBQ, to all that just believed it could work! An amazing job and well
done, to all a special Thank You and I am proud to call you all my friends, and I do need your help for the next
event ,I hope we as a group do this more often, not only a parade, but for the benefit of Scouting in our
Community!
To the staff at Pouch who helped from the start, assembling the poles and toppers, putting the flags on the
poles etc., you all are a Great team of people who I am always proud of working with through all we do; you all
make it worth it, all the time.
The following quote depicted the marching order of the flags and the reason behind it.
FREEDOM: Today we honor The United States of America, as we approach the Boy Scouts of America’s
100th Anniversary of the world brotherhood of scouting, and all the other levels of scouting within the city of
New York and its five boroughs. Here today, we honor our Military branches and all the men and women who
serve and have made the sacrifices for our Freedom, in all of the war campaigns around the world. Giving all
of us, the citizens of the fifty States and six territories of these United States of America, the rights to our
Freedom to choose a Religion. God Bless America
!!
MESSAGE FROM THE RANGER

To all the Scouts, Leaders, Parents and Supporters:
First I want to say Thank You all for the support at the Memorial
Day parade. It was a great event for scouting on Staten Island. To
see 105 different flags, two blocks long, all different no two the
same, just like all of our flag bearers; all different from so many
different units. And we have all come together for a common goal
that day, to honor our Veterans. Now we must stay united for
another goal and that is to support the program that we believe in, a
great program for our youth,scouting!
